GIck och såg CJ Vallgrens julkonsert på Stenhammarsalen i Göteborg.

OK, jag har gillat skivorna länge och älskat böckerna så jag är inte rätt person att skriva en recension. Men, vem bryr sig om det?

Iklädd tjusig röd kostym och sin sedvanliga keps intog han scenen. Ömsom sång, ömsom historier. Jag tycker att musiken är bra. Men med tanke på hur rolig och välformulerat mellansnacken är blir det nog ändå det som jag kommer minnas bäst. Skit samma, det var kul att vara där och jag kommer nog gå på nästa konsert. Säkert är att jag kommer gå på en stå-upp-show om han beslutar sig för att göra en enbart sådan. En ny bok, skulle sitta än bättre.

Top 10 albums, #7:Dr John / In the right place

I remember Swedish National Television broadcasted the Last Waltz with The Band. I really liked their music, but I clearly remember being hypnotized by Dr John. Still, every time I listen to this album I really really enjoy it and it makes me feel good.

OK, at number 10 we have Tom Waits with one of his masterpieces, Closing Time, tracks:

I Hope That I Don’t Fall in Love with You is such a beautiful love song. The way the last lines of the chorus changes throughout the song is so beatiful.

I remember that my dad bought the LP for himself in the first place, although I concidered the album mine. Later on I bought one too. Then I bought the CD. RIght now, it’s in the shelf along with all other Tom Waits albums. Check out Bone Machine and Swordfish Trombones too. They’re excellent.

My top 10 Albums of all time

I’ve started to (again) make a list of my favorite music (excluding clasical music) albums of all time. Before presenting the list, I’ll start with the one that almost made it to the top:

Jag köpte en Jazz-skiva …. är det sant?

Japp. Så var det dags. Det var över fem år sedan, förmodligen tio, jag senast köpte en Jazz-skiva. Ännu ett försök görs härmed för att försöka förstå mig på genren. Ärligt talat fattar jag ingenting av Jazz. Men efter att ha lyssnat på En Skiva Till Kaffet med Freddie Wadling och Esbjörn Svenssons Trio beslöt jag mig för att testa på en skiva med bara Esbjörn Svenssons Trio. Köpte Good Morning Susie. Första intrycket var positivt.

Vad gäller Freddie Wadling vill jag passa på att rekommendera er att lyssna på Fläskkvartetten, speciellt Featuring Freddie Wadling och Västerås Sinfonietta.
